Reactive Dyes
Vinyl Sulphone Based Reactive Dyes...
GENERAL
Reactive Dyes are Vinyl Sulphone based Reactive Dyes. They react chemically under suitable conditions with Cellulose based materials yielding brilliant shades with good fastness properties.
-
Ramazol Dyes offer high solubility in water and suitable for both Exhaust/Pad-batch Dyeing and Discharge Printing.
-
These Dyestuffs are unstable under alkaline condition, and therefore water used for their dissolution should be neutral.
-
As the Dyestuffs react chemically with Cellulose based materials, the dyed materials posses good fastness properties.
-
It is possible to use mixture of Ramazole Dyes for getting combination shades. For this application Ramazol Dyes of similar properties are to be used.
-
Unfixed Dyes, if any, remaining on goods after dyeing process can be removed by after treatment at boil.
-
Ramazol Dyes give brilliant hues of high level fastnesson cellulose based materials.
DYE SOLUTION :
Remezol Dyes are dissolved by pasting it with a little waterr and pouring boiling hot water over it under strring. The water used should be neutral.
DYEING METHOD :
Exhaust Dyeing Method :
Take well prescoured material, ensure that pH of the material is below 7.
-
Add predissolved dye and run for 10 min. at 40ºc.
-
Add 90 gms./Lit. Common salt for non-mercerised (cotton knit) fabric (60 gms./lit. Common salt for mercerised fabric)
-
Addition of Common Salt in 3 instalments at an interval of 10 min. Raise the temp. to 60ºc in 20 min. and run for 20 min.
-
Add 10.0 gms./lit. Soda Ash and run for 1 hour.
-
Add 0.5 gms./lit. Caustic Soda (Flakes) and run for 30 min.
AFTER TREATMENT :
Rinse cold, give hot wash with 2 cc/lit. Acetic Acid and run for 20 gm./lit.low foamine detergent & 1gm./lit protective colloied. Repeat the soaping process again for achieving better fastness propertise. Hot wash, followed by cold wash.
NOTE:
-
Instead of 10 gms./lit. Soda Ash and 0.5 gms./lit. Caustic Soda one can use only 20 gms./lit. Soda ash and complete the dyeing in one hour.
-
While dyeing with Soda Ash+Caustic Process, take care, that the tempersture of dyebath should not increase above 60ºc.
